DOD agrees with McLachlan, Schwartz

Considering J. Paul Brown and Scott Tipton claim that climate change is hype or even a hoax, I am quoting the U.S. Department of Defense:

“The Department of Defense recognizes the reality of climate change and the significant risk it poses to U.S. interests globally. The National Security Strategy, issued in February 2015, is clear that climate change is an urgent and growing threat to our national security, contributing to increased natural disasters, refugee flows and conflicts over basic resources such as food and water. These impacts are already occurring, and the scope, scale and intensity of these impacts are projected to increase over time.” (Source link: http://bit.ly/1LgV2b8).

While water is J. Paul Brown’s most important policy goal, he totally denies climate change recognized by the U.S. Department of Defense as an urgent and growing threat. He therefore is either incapable of or unwilling to recognize the inevitable connection between the availability of water and climate change. As we experience lower precipitation, higher temperatures, earlier run-off from melting snow and lower moisture. etc., we must act locally and nationally.

As the Department of Defense stated, climate change is a reality and I want my elected representatives to actively start working in mitigating its effects. Both J. Paul Brown and Scott Tipton are climate change deniers and therefore do not deserve to be our representatives.

Both Barbara McLachlan and Gail Schwartz know climate change is real and that it needs to be addressed. Please vote for Barbara McLachlan and Gail Schwartz!
