HOW TO PLAY:

1. First review the list of the week’s upcoming NFL games. Decide which game you’re most confident of picking a winner in. Place the number of the team you have selected on the 16 point line. This is your highest confidence pick and if your team wins, you will win 16 points.

2. Place the number of your second-surest pick on the15 point line and so on down to the 1 point line which will be your least confident pick.

3. REMEMBER: It is much more important to be right in the selections you make in the high point positions than in the low point positions.

4. It is essential that you select a winner for each game. Entries which fail to select a winner from each game will be disqualified. No points will be awarded in case of tie games or postponement or cancellation of any game.

5. For Thursday games, one free point will be awarded in advance and they will not count beyond that. Thursday games will show as FREE on the 1 point line, and occasionally on the 2 and 3 point lines (Thanksgiving is a good example.).

6. In weeks where there are Friday or Saturday games, those deadlines will be different and will be announced in the Durango Herald.

7. You may enter only one coupon per week.

8. IN CASE OF A TIE, the closest guess to the total number of points scored by BOTH TEAMS in this week’s Denver Broncos game will be the winner. If there is no Broncos game, use this week’s earliest Monday Night game. If there is still a tie, a drawing will be held to determine the winner.
   
   

1. SUBMITTING YOUR ENTRY, BY MAIL OR HAND DELIVERED

   Entries must be hand delivered to any of the following locations:

Entry deadlines:

Hand delivered entries must be submitted to The Durango Herald no later than 6PM on Friday – or to Gridiron Green entry boxes in outlying locations no later than noon on Saturday.

Mailed entries must be postmarked no later than Friday.

You need not buy the Durango Herald to compete. Reasonable facsimiles no smaller than 3” x 5” will be accepted.

PLEASE trim entry neatly at the borders to prevent it from becoming lost or torn and to make judging easier. On mailed entries, please mark the envelope “GRIDIRON GREEN CONTEST”.

You must be at least 10 years old to enter.

Employees of SWAG Inc. and the Durango Herald, and their immediate families, are ineligible.

Winners must agree to be photographed and interviewed for publicity purposes. All judges’ decisions are final.
