Arts Briefs for May 25
- Aspiring and accomplished designers are invited to register to enter Durango’s original fashion forum – TOP – for its third annual juried garment design exhibition and fundraiser to benefit the Durango Arts Center. Sponsored by First National Bank of Durango, this year’s fashion show, exhibition, live and silent auctions will be held Sept. 21 at the Arts Center.
- Artists can pick up garments or fabric June 1-2 at There’s No Place Like Home, 820 Main Ave. The prospectus is available at www.durangoarts.org. The delivery deadline for finished garments is Aug. 25.
- Entry fees are $25 for the first item and $15 for additional items. Student fees are $15 for the first entry and $10 for each additional. For the first time, this year TOP is a offering limited number of sponsorships for students. Two People’s Choice Awards of $500 each also have been added.
