(White) now works primarily as a solo stand-up, best known for his "Tater Salad" moniker and "You Can't Fix Stupid" and "Behavioral Problems" routines, which he performs with his trademark cigar and glass of scotch.
White was a journeyman comic before landing a starring role alongside Jeff Foxworthy, Larry the Cable Guy and Bill Engvall on the television and stage show that became a national sensation between 2000 and 2003. He now works primarily as a solo stand-up, best known for his "Tater Salad" moniker and "You Can't Fix Stupid" and "Behavioral Problems" routines, which he performs with his trademark cigar and glass of scotch.
White's choice to go out on his own has paid off. "Behavioral Problems" garnered 3.3 million viewers when it aired on Comedy Central earlier this year, making it the cable network's top stand-up show of 2009. He's also been nominated for two Grammys, winning once, and has a gold record and a New York Times bestseller to his credit. His CDs and DVDs have sold more than 10 million copies.
Because of strong language and themes, White's show is recommended for adults only. Reserved seats for White's 7 p.m. show are sold out, but general admission seating still is available. Reserved and general admission seats still were available for the 9 p.m. show as of press time Monday.
