Dillon City Council votes down marijuana dispensaries

Article Last Updated; Friday, November 06, 2009  12:59AM
DILLON - Medical marijuana dispensaries have been banned, for now, in one Summit County town.

The Dillon City Council has voted down regulations that would have allowed dispensaries. The town is just a few miles east of Breckenridge, where voters this week made marijuana in small amounts legal for adults.

Tuesday's vote in Dillon extends a dispensary moratorium until Feb. 13.

Already two dispensaries are open elsewhere in Summit County, with more expected soon in Breckenridge after that town approved dispensary rules.
