Pilates studio announces relocation
Mind's Eye Movement, a classical Pilates studio, will relocate its services to 101 E. 31st St. on Monday.

The move will allow more convenient access for clients. The fully equipped studio offers personalized private and semi-private movement training using the authentic Pilates method.

Owner Kimberly McKnight is a certified Pilates instructor with more than 1,000 hours of training. She graduated from the Pilates Center in Boulder.

The studio's hours of operation are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Fridays. Training is by appointment only, though interested individuals are welcome to visit and observe training sessions. It is recommended that visitors call in advance.

Homebuilders group announces events
The Homebuilders Association of Southwest Colorado announces the following events:
•A dinner will be held at 6 p.m. July 16 at the Strater Theatre, 699 Main Ave. Speakers Michele Desiderio of the National Association of Home Builders and Patti Mason of the U.S. Green Building Council will speak on NAHB green and the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design program  for homes.

Cost for the dinner and presentation is $25; for the presentation only, the cost is $12.50. Reservations are required by noon July 13.

Locals become licensed professional engineers
Russell Engineering announces that two of its design engineers have become licensed as professional engineers:

  • Kelly Fearney has a bachelor's degree in civil and environmental engineering from the University of Vermont. She has been with the company for three years. Her work involves water systems, individual sewage disposal systems, geotechnical experience, sidewalk design and storm water permitting. Fearney designs road, drainage and utility plans for both residential and commercial developments. She specializes in wastewater-treatment and water-distribution system designs. Fearney also has experience in bridge permitting using the HEC-RAS software to model the 100-year flood plain of rivers. She recently returned from a trip to Laos, where she volunteered with Engineers Without Borders to install a water system in a remote village.
  • Gregg Andrulis has been with Russell Engineering for five years. He has a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Notre Dame. His work includes road, utility and drainage designs for both commercial and residential developments. Andrulis manages large residential projects, preparing cost estimates and participating in construction administration from pay-request review to field inspections. His expertise is in designing water-distribution systems, tanks and augmentation ponds.
