Durango's artisinal bakery, Bread, gained an influential fan in bicyclist Lance Armstrong, who won the Leadville Trail 100 mountain bike race last weekend.Armstrong wrote on his Twitter feed Friday: "Travis Brown brought us some cookies from this bakery called Bread in Durango. Hands down, best cookie ever."
Armstrong has 1.7 million followers on the popular Web site.
Bread, at 42 East Animas Road (County Road 250), is a popular meeting point for bicyclists.
