8:04 a.m. A man was charged by a Rottweiler, and the dog wouldn't leave the area in the 100 block of Pine Ridge Loop.

1:29 p.m. About eight horses were in the road, and they were nearly hit by cars several times in the 500 block of County Road 314, north of Ignacio.

11:53 p.m. Two horses wearing bridles caused a traffic hazard at U.S. Highway 160 and County Road 233, east of Elmore's Corner.

1:32 a.m. Someone reported people were being loud in the alley in the 100 block of East Sixth Avenue.

1:46 a.m. A man told police that his white Ford pickup had been stolen by his ex-girlfriend near Main Avenue and College Drive.

2:03 a.m. A man that another man entered his residence looking for steroids.

8:42 a.m. A woman saw someone attempt to siphon gas from her car in a parking lot on East Fifth Avenue.

8:46 a.m. A man reported that his business had been broken into overnight in the 1200 block of Camino del Rio.

8:56 a.m. A woman was unconscious near a bus stop on East Eighth Avenue.

9:59 a.m. A woman calling from a gas station payphone reported that her glasses had been stolen from a nearby hotel and hung up the phone.

1:12 p.m. A man was caught shoplifting in a Town Plaza store on Camino del Rio.

3:56 p.m. A man in a blue bandana was selling cigarettes to minors in the east 700 block of College Drive. A business owner reported the man had been doing this every day.

6:37 p.m. Someone reported several people were shooting off firecrackers at the Durango Housing Complex at Arroyo Drive and Forest Avenue.

La Plata County Sheriff
Wednesday

6:30 a.m. Police responded to a car accident at the 6000 block of East Animas Road (County Road 250). The driver of one of the cars had a seizure and a possible head injury.

9:41 a.m. Someone let the boats off the docks at Vallecito Marina overnight and the boats had drifted into rocks near County Road 501.

10:13 p.m. A resident reported that fireworks were being shot off near Whispering Pines.

9:47 p.m. A resident advised of loud music and heavy bass coming from Stevenson Park.

8:40 a.m. A Dumpster behind Francisco's caught fire in the 600 block of Narrow Gauge Avenue.
