Animal Control

Monday

 

4:48 p.m. A woman wanted to talk to an Animal Control officer about her cat’s leg being broken and possibly wanting to file a complaint against her neighbor on Apple Wood Loop, southeast of Elmore’s Corner.

 

Durango Police

 

Tuesday

 

3:24 a.m. Someone called 911 to report that a man in a white truck pulled a sleeping bag out of a vehicle with something “very bad” inside it near 20th Street and West Second Avenue. Police responded to find the caller very intoxicated. The caller was warned not to call 911 unless there was an emergency.

 

5:18 a.m. A 1993 blue Toyota 4Runner was stolen overnight in the 1200 block of Avenida del Sol.

 

8:25 a.m. Several truckloads of trash were dumped on a property in the 1300 block of Florida Road.

 

8:36 p.m. Someone hit a woman’s parked car in an underground garage in the 500 block of Rivergate Lane.

 

11:28 a.m. A man with two crutches and a neck brace was hitchhiking near Sunshine Court and 32nd Street.

 

1:31 p.m. A man appeared to be looking into parked cars in the east 200 block of Eighth Street.

 

2:53 p.m. Skateboarders were on the road and motorists had to go around them in the 600 block of East Sixth Avenue.

 

Monday

 

6:04 p.m. A man in a blue Nissan truck was drinking beer in the west 200 block of College Drive.

 

6:45 p.m. A license plate was removed from a woman’s car in the 20300 block of U.S. Highway 160, in western city limits.

 

9:04 p.m. A man and a woman were drunk and refusing to be quiet in a motel room in the 400 block of East Second Avenue.

 

11:09 p.m. People were being loud on a porch in the 600 block of East Sixth Avenue. Police responded, and the people agreed to move indoors.

Tuesday

 

4:20 a.m. Someone reported that a prowler was inside a home in the 40200 block of U.S. Highway 550, at Tamarron.

 

7:31 a.m. Someone was destroying property at a house in the 2300 block of County Road 203, north of Durango.

 

12:43 p.m. The sign at Haggard’s Black Dog Tavern, 13544 Florida Road (County Road 240) was stolen overnight.

 

1:04 p.m. Someone shot and destroyed a man’s mailbox in the 9400 block of County Road 502, northwest of Bayfield.

 

Monday

 

5:14 p.m. A home was burglarized in the 1000 block of County Road 220, southeast of Farmington Hill.

Tuesday

 

8:39 a.m. There was a gas leak near U.S. Highway 160B and Park Street in Bayfield.
