Animal Control

 Thursday

9:17 a.m. A dog was chained to a van in the east 600 block of Third Street.

10:04 a.m. A neighbor’s dog tried to attack a woman on Valley View Way in Durango West I.

Thursday

 

12:05 a.m. Two men were standing around the outside of St. Columba Church in the 1800 block of East Second Avenue.

 

2:56 p.m. Two men were wrestling behind the Durango Community Recreation Center.

 

Wednesday

 

5:03 p.m. A driver in a truck hit a warehouse without stopping in the 600 block of Main Avenue.

 

7:14 p.m. Several cows were on the road in Three Springs.

 

7:41 p.m. A drunken man was asleep in a theater at the Storyteller Theaters, 900 Trans Lux Drive. He was asked to leave, but he refused.

 

8:11 p.m. A lot of smoke was coming from a fire pit near 17th Street and Main Avenue.

 

11:45 p.m. A couple argued in the 1100 block of South Camino del Rio.

 

La Plata County Sheriff

 

Thursday

 

8:27 a.m. Someone broke a window in a kitchen in the 100 block of Mountain Memories Road.

 

1:56 p.m. Personal checks were stolen from a woman’s mailbox in the 300 block of Hermosa Acres Drive.

 

Wednesday

 

4:01 p.m. A mailbox was damaged in the 1500 block of County Road 222, southeast of Elmore’s Corner.

 

9:15 p.m. A house was egged twice on Calle de Los Sueños in Southwest Horizons Ranch, south of Elmore’s Corner.

 

10:05 p.m. Four boys were breaking mailboxes with bats in the 5600 block of County Road 334, east of Ignacio.

Thursday

 

1:23 p.m. Dogs were barking for an hour in the 100 block of Apaloosa Lane.

 

Wednesday

 

6:30 p.m. A man was looking into windows of businesses and acting suspiciously in the 42400 block of U.S. Highway 160.

 

10:13 p.m. A student at Bayfield High School said he was receiving acid and ecstasy from his mother.

Wednesday

 

4:56 p.m. A green bicycle was blocking a fire landing and a stairwell between Cooper and Crofton halls.
