Animal Control

Friday

8:21 a.m. Two huskies were chasing horses in a field in the 22000 block of Colorado Highway 140, south of Hesperus.

Noon Someone was bitten by a dog Thursday in the 500 block of Rivergate Lane.

Thursday

4:07 p.m. A dog was wrapped up around a garbage can for about an hour in the 600 block of Main Avenue.

Durango Police

Friday

12:06 a.m. There was a loud party, possibly with underage drinking, on Ball Lane.

9:19 a.m. Graffiti appeared at the La Plata County Fairgrounds and the Durango/La Plata Senior Center.

9:31 a.m. A box was stolen from a front porch in the 2200 block of Delwood Avenue.

12:28 p.m. Someone broke into a woman’s car and stole some items at the Durango Public Library, 1900 East Third Ave.

2:41 p.m. The convertible top of a woman’s car was cut in the DoubleTree Hotel parking lot, 501 Camino del Rio.

Thursday

5:07 p.m. A vehicle stalled at an intersection at Main Avenue and 14th Street.

10:05 p.m. There was a loud party in the west 100 block of 32nd Street.

La Plata County Sheriff

Friday

1:05 a.m. Someone heard four gunshots near County Road 501 and Middle Mountain Road, in the Vallecito area.

6:59 a.m. A driver was stopped for going 33 mph in a 20 mph zone at Mesa Drive and Forest Lakes Drive.

1:26 p.m. Someone accidentally called 911 from the 900 block of County Road 234, north of Elmore’s Corner.

Thursday

6:03 p.m. About a dozen cows were on the road in the 1300 block of County Road 321, southeast of Ignacio.

11:07 p.m. A dog was barking for about an hour on Woodcrest Drive in Durango West I.

Thursday

4:15 p.m. A propane lid blew off a 250-gallon tank in the Old Homestead Mobile Home Park, 8659 U.S. Highway 550, south of Durango.

Fort Lewis College

Friday

12:28 a.m. A drunken man was chasing deer around the Fort Lewis College campus.
