Colorado’s Jason Hammel lands on the mound after fielding a ball hit by Oakland’s Adam Kennedy in the first inning of the Rockies’ 4-2 win.

OAKLAND, Calif. - Garrett Atkins had three hits and two RBIs, Jason Hammel remained unbeaten in June, and the Colorado Rockies beat the Oakland Athletics 4-2 on Friday night.

Todd Helton added a two-run single as part of a three-run fifth inning, helping Colorado snap a seven-game losing streak in Oakland.

Hammel allowed only four hits, struck out five and walked two to finish 4-0 this month. The right-hander also extended his career-best win streak to five in a row to improve to 5-3 overall.

Huston Street got some sweet revenge in pitching against his former team for the first time since being acquired in November as part of a trade that sent slugger Matt Holliday to the A's, working a perfect ninth for his 17th save in 18 tries.
