Shane Benjamin covers cops and courts for the Durango Herald. He also covers general assignments, feature stories and investigative reports. He graduated with honors from Fort Lewis College with a degree in mass communications. He has won numerous press awards since joining the Herald in 1999, including as a contributor to the 2002 Missionary Ridge Fire coverage that won the Sigma Delta Chi Award for Excellence in Journalism in the category of public service. |
