Herald already starting Udall’s campaign

It was interesting to see on the same day other news outlets reported Sen. Mark Udall’s son being arrested for burglary and heroin possession, the Herald ran a picture of the senator wearing a Broncos jersey in Washington, D.C. (Feb. 1). This was followed up in the next issue with Udall’s column in which we were informed he was on top of the most pressing issue of the day, namely, our TV programming.

Contrast this with the in-depth coverage (at least three articles) of Dick Cheney’s daughter when she had a spat with her gay sister and the Republican party. I’m not sure why the Herald thinks we care so much about Cheney, who was only a political wannabe in Wyoming, but not our own senator. Is the Herald starting Sen. Udall’s re-election campaign already?
