I urge readers to look at the article, “Five New Reasons Monsanto’s ‘Science’ Doesn’t Add Up,” at www.organicconsumers.org/articles/article_29419.cfm. Note the title includes “New Reasons” – the implication being numerous other substantiated reasons have been offered previously.
Also note citations/links to these studies/reviews have been offered, where Garth Buchanan’s column (Herald, March 2) offered none. And finally, note none of the agencies/studies cited are funded by vested interests – they do not have conflicts of interest.
Buchanan may not care or want to know what he and his family are eating (He may also believe everything government agencies co-opted by corporate extra-nationals are excreting) – but others, including myself, do.
