It is unbelievable that the city is taking away glass recycling sites. It was bad enough when the city began the very ironically titled “single stream” recycling. It was a huge backward move to stop collecting glass curbside. It is has been very inconvenient to recycle glass in the past couple of years, and I have witnessed a lot going into trash cans.
But to now remove all glass recycling sites and make everyone drive out to the Durango Recycle Center? What is this, 1990? I am disappointed and frustrated that this is the city’s solution. It does not inspire confidence, and I am certain that it will result in even less glass being recycled.
