I’m voting for Ted Compton to represent District 3 (Durango) on the La Plata Electric Association board of directors.

I’ve gotten to know Compton well after working with him for the last 13 years at United Pipeline Systems. During that time, I’ve relied on him to develop practical and financially sound resolutions to complex technical issues. In addition to being one of the smartest engineers I’ve worked with, Compton has solid communication and teamwork skills that will make him a competent and effective board member.

I’m confident that Compton is the right choice to join the board at a critical time as LPEA considers options with Tri-State while providing sustainable, reliable and affordable power. He has the background and skills required and he also has deep local roots and a love for southwest Colorado.
