Members of crisis intervention nonprofit Renew Inc., organized a small gathering Saturday afternoon outside the Colorado Welcome Center in Cortez to show solidarity with victims of rape and sexual assault. They held up signs displaying the hashtag #MeToo and other slogans, and waved at passing drivers on Main Street, many of whom honked back or yelled in support. “What we are doing is trying to feed off what’s going on in the U.S., with all the sexual harassment claims,” Brenda Kell, of Renew, said. “We’re trying to let everyone know it happens everywhere.”
