Members of the Southwest Art League made cookies and gave them to local law enforcement and fire departments to show their appreciation for the work they do. Each of four departments received 100 cookies. From left are: Undersheriff Jim Kingery, Sheriff Steve Nowlin, Cortez Fire Chief Jeff Vandevoorde, Cortez Police Chief Roy Lane, Lewis-Arriola Fire Chief George Deavers, Joe Slaughenhoupt of the art league, Sensa and Arrelia Wolcott from the Cortez Cultural Center and Carole Siebel from the art league.
