Nicholas Ian Tyson Jones sticks his head inside the sculpture that has residents of Dolores talking about the unusual steel lizard. Jones made the sculpture out of recycled bike parts to put outside his business, Lizardhead Cyclery. The beast took three days to make, working until 11 p.m. the first day to make the body and tail. The second day was spent on the head and a third day polishing the metal lizard. The eyes reflect headlights and can be seen from 100 yards away at night. A second lizard is planned for the roof of the building. "I wanted to attract tourists, so they would slow down, stop and look around to see what Dolores has to offer," the lizard's creator said.
