Surfing the powder instead of the water on the boards is becoming more popular, she said. The rider uses a paddle to stabilize, but as far as steering, “it’s pretty minimal. You need a clear stretch and then ride it out. It’s a rush!” According to its mission statement, <a href="https://www.sanjuansup.com/">SUP Co.</a> “strives to inspire everyone to find a passion for stand-up paddleboarding throughout Western Colorado, Eastern Utah and the Four Corners region.”
