Southwest Minors beat Bayfield in Game 2

The Southwest Minors All Star team, composed of players from Cortez, Dolores, Lewis and Towaoc, beat Bayfield 12-0 in Game 2 of the District Tournament on Tuesday evening. The boys ended the game with a double play at second by pitcher Lincoln Forkner (Cortez) and second-baseman Jake Blackmer (Dolores). The game was only an hour and six minutes long and finished without a rain delay. Above: Elijah Lee (Towaoc) slides into second. Game 3 is Thursday at the Parque de Vida Minors field in Cortez.
