Three Coloradan motorcyclists were killed on Tuesday in a crash on a highway in northern Idaho after they were hit by a pickup truck outside the town of Kooskia.<\/p>\n

The driver is also from Colorado. Neale Brewer, 60, from Colorado Springs, was trying to pass another vehicle in a no-passing zone on U.S. 12 when she collided with the motorcyclists headed the opposite way, according to Idaho State Police.<\/p>\n

The motorcyclists died at the crash site, located about four hours from Boise.<\/p>\n

The Idaho County Coroner identified the motorcyclists as Ethan Powers, 35, of Timnath; Jeremy Coleman, 45 of Berthoud; and Nathan McCormick, 26, of Loveland.<\/p>\n

Coleman was a sergeant with the Larimer County Sheriff\u2019s Office and Powers was a deputy. McCormick was Coleman\u2019s son-in-law, according to the Colorado Fraternal Order of Police.<\/p>\n

The Larimer County Sheriff\u2019s Office said the three victims were on a motorcycle trip.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere are no good words in a situation like this. Put simply, these were incredible people who dedicated their lives to making Larimer County better every single day. They trained hard, they served well, and they loved life,\u201d the sheriff\u2019s office said in a Facebook post.<\/p>\n

Brewer was taken to the hospital for examination and then was released and arrested. She was booked into the Idaho County jail on three counts of vehicular manslaughter. As of Thursday, she was still in custody with no bond set.<\/p>\n
