A man who had paid another man $180 by check for landscaping work said the check was altered and cashed for $280. The bank had already credited the victim back. A man was identified and arrested on a warrant.<\/p>\n<div class=\"naviga-element naviga-subheadline1\">Wednesday, June 24<\/div>\n<p>7:33 p.m.: An officer responded to a residence on Road M, Mancos, for a report of possible domestic violence. The husband reported an argument with his wife that escalated while driving, including a slap, thrown phones and a punch. Both parties were interviewed and photos taken. The case was referred to another agency for further investigation.<\/p>\n<div class=\"naviga-element naviga-subheadline1\">Thursday, June 25<\/div>\n<p>12:37 p.m.: An officer responded to 28266 Colorado Highway 145, Dolores, after a REDDI report. A man driving was stopped and issued a citation for reckless driving after a witness said he passed in a no-passing zone and was speeding.<\/p>\n<div class=\"naviga-element naviga-subheadline1\">Saturday, June 27<\/div>\n<p>7:26 p.m.: An officer responded to 23915 Road G, Cortez, after observing a cut fence at Blue Door Pawn Shop. A camper had been stolen along with vehicle rims. Surveillance showed a man in a truck allegedly committing the theft. The stolen camper was entered into NCIC.<\/p>\n<div class=\"naviga-element naviga-subheadline1\">Monday, June 29<\/div>\n<p>8:07 a.m.: An officer responded to a residence on Road K.2, Cortez, for a report of theft. A man reported cash, a vehicle title, pillows and other items missing from his trailer. He suspected a former roommate. Investigation revealed some items were misplaced and the matter involved a prior vehicle trade dispute.<\/p>\n<p>11:15 a.m.: An officer responded to 23201 Colorado Highway 184, Narraguinnep Lake, for a report of property damage. A man found his vehicle mirror damaged and a note identifying the other vehicle. Information between drivers was exchanged for insurance purposes.<\/p>\n<p>10:51 p.m.: An officer responded to the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., Cortez, for a woman who turned herself in on a warrant.<\/p>\n<div class=\"naviga-element naviga-subheadline1\">Tuesday, June 30<\/div>\n<p>10:11 a.m.: An officer responded to the Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St., Cortez, for a court remand. A woman was arrested for failure to comply.<\/p>\n<p>11:14 a.m.: An officer responded to North Park Street and East Empire Street, Cortez, for a traffic stop on a vehicle without a visible license plate. The driver was issued citations for driving under restraint and improper display of registration.<\/p>\n<p>1:48 p.m.: An officer responded to the Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St., Cortez, for a court remand. A man was arrested.<\/p>\n<p>2:26 p.m.: An officer responded to the Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St., Cortez, for a court remand. A man was arrested for contempt of court.<\/p>\n<p>5:32 p.m.: An officer responded to 15580 Forest Service Road 567, Mancos, for a crash notification. A man went off the roadway and down an embankment. He was extricated and flown to a hospital in New Mexico. Investigation turned over to Colorado State Patrol.<\/p>\n<div class=\"naviga-element naviga-subheadline1\">Wednesday, July 1<\/div>\n<p>6:27 a.m.: An officer responded to a residence on Colorado Highway 145, Dolores, for a black bear that had opened an unsecured trash container. The owner of the trash container was issued a citation for violating a Dolores town ordinance.<\/p>\n<p>10 a.m.: An officer responded to the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., Cortez, where an inmate was served on an out-of-state warrant.<\/p>\n<p>11:22 a.m.: An officer responded to a residence on Road G, Cortez, for a private property motorcycle crash. A juvenile crashed his dirt bike on a practice track after a suspected malfunction on a jump and was transported to Southwest Memorial Hospital.<\/p>\n<p>5:15 p.m.: An officer responded to a residence on U.S. Highway 491, Cortez, for a 911 open line. A woman accused a man of stealing her wallet. The wallet was later found in her vehicle. The woman was arrested on suspicion of domestic violence, harassment, false reporting and unauthorized use of a financial device.<\/p>\n<div class=\"naviga-element naviga-subheadline1\">Thursday, July 2<\/div>\n<p>3:24 a.m.: An officer responded to the 13000 block of Road 42, Mancos, for a traffic accident. A man swerved to avoid a deer, left the roadway and struck a tree. He was evaluated by medics and the crash was investigated by Colorado State Patrol.<\/p>\n<div class=\"naviga-element naviga-subheadline1\">Friday, July 3<\/div>\n<p>12:10 p.m.: An officer responded to a residence on Road N, Cortez, for a report of menacing with a knife. The complaint was determined to be unfounded after witness statements and video review. A man was issued a citation for violation of a protection order.<\/p>\n<div class=\"naviga-element naviga-subheadline1\">Saturday, July 4<\/div>\n<p>10:01 p.m.: An officer responded to Love\u2019s Truck Stop, 7006 U.S. Highway 160, Cortez, for a report of harassment. A woman said a man poked her in the face during an argument. The man, who had allegedly been drinking and was under a protection order prohibiting alcohol, was arrested on suspicion of violation of a protection order.<\/p>\n<div class=\"naviga-element naviga-subheadline1\">Sunday, July 5<\/div>\n<p>12:54 p.m.: An officer responded to Road G, Cortez, for a cold assault report at Dollar General. A woman said her manager struck her on the head. Video confirmed the contact and the manager was issued a citation for harassment.<\/p>\n<p>1:54 p.m.: An officer responded to 7006 U.S. Highway 160, Cortez, for an unwanted person at Love\u2019s. A man asleep on the floor inside the Subway was awakened and arrested on a warrant.<\/p>\n<p>7:13 p.m.: An officer responded to a residence on U.S. Highway 160 East, Cortez, for a protection order violation.
