Browning Parkway.<\/p>\n<p>Police were dispatched to the store at 11:49 p.m. June 6 as \u201cmultiple alarms were being generated from the property,\u201d according to a statement of probable cause.<\/p>\n<p>On scene, they discovered \u201ca portion of the chain-link fence encompassing the storage yard at the facility had been cut,\u201d and there were \u201cthree mini-bikes lying in the dirt, by a bush, just north of the property,\u201d according to the probable cause statement.<\/p>\n<p>At 12:02 a.m., the Real Time Crime Center located two subjects heading north toward the Farmington Animal Shelter. They were later identified as Amanda Waller, 43, of Farmington, and Frank Jones, 45, of Aztec.<\/p>\n<p><figure class=\"wp-block-image naviga-inline-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/imengine.public.prod.dur.navigacloud.com\/?uuid=3a3ba762-8ad4-5c95-934b-ad4db547dd92&amp;function=cover&amp;type=preview&amp;source=false&amp;width=2000\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" alt=\"Amanda Waller\" class=\"naviga-image\" loading=\"lazy\"><figcaption><span class=\"caption\">Amanda Waller<\/span><span class=\"credit\">cca<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/p><p>When they realized police were following them, they reportedly ran into the Animas River White Water Park, according to court documents.<\/p>\n<p>Several responding officers headed toward Waller and Jones, while officer Dave Eighme remained on scene. He stated in the probable cause statement that he \u201cbegan checking the immediate area around the minibikes,\u201d where he located \u201ctwo distinct sets of shoe impressions in the sand.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Eighme described the first being a size 10-11 and possibly belonging to a male.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe impression had a rectangular pattern covering the ball of the foot and the inside edge of the soul.\u201d There also \u201cwas a phrase \u2018Georgia Boot\u2019 imprinted in the dirt,\u201d according to the probable cause statement.<\/p>\n<p><figure class=\"wp-block-image naviga-inline-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/imengine.public.prod.dur.navigacloud.com\/?uuid=70dc045b-33ba-5e87-943c-b096460eecee&amp;function=cover&amp;type=preview&amp;source=false&amp;width=2000\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" alt=\"Frank David Jones\" class=\"naviga-image\" loading=\"lazy\"><figcaption><span class=\"caption\">Frank David Jones<\/span><span class=\"credit\">cca<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/p><p>Eighme found a second set of footprints that he believed to be female prints, because they were a size 5 or 6 and \u201chad a rectangular pattern,\u201d which \u201cwent completely around the outer edge of the shoe,\u201d according to the probable cause statement.<\/p>\n<p>Eighme photographed both sets of shoe impressions, and then was able to compare the prints with the shoes the suspects were wearing as well as to shoe prints found near the suspects\u2019 vehicle, which was believed to be a Nissan Armada with a trailer attached, court records state.<\/p>\n<p>The Nissan Armada was parked in a dirt lot \u201capproximately 0.25 miles away from the crime scene,\u201d where police located Waller and Jones attempting to get into the vehicle, instead police held them \u201cat gun point\u201d until backup arrived, according to the probable cause statement.<\/p>\n<p>Police stated in the report that both Waller and Jones were not \u201cwilling to cooperate and answer questions,\u201d so they were booked into the San Juan County Detention Center on charges of fourth-degree felony burglary and third-degree felony larceny greater than $2,500, less than $20,000.<\/p>\n<p>The minibikes they reportedly attempted to steal were two Coleman B200r Mini-Bikes, valued at $800 each, and one Greenworks Pro 60v Stealth Mini-Bike, valued at $1,500.<\/p>\n<p>A preliminary hearing for Waller is set at 8:30 a.m. June 18 in Farmington Magistrate Court.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Alleged thieves attempt to steal three minibikes from Tractor Supply<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":27227,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[],"tags":[28],"naviga_topic":[],"class_list":["post-27226","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","tag-headlines"],"acf":[],"author_name":"Website Administrator","_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.durangoherald.com\/tj\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/27226","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.durangoherald.com\/tj\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.durangoherald.com\/tj\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.durangoherald.com\/tj\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/1"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.durangoherald.com\/tj\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=27226"}],"version-history":[{"count":1,"href":"https:\/\/www.durangoherald.com\/tj\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/27226\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":79989,"href":"https:\/\/www.durangoherald.com\/tj\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/27226\/revisions\/79989"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.durangoherald.com\/tj\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/27227"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.durangoherald.com\/tj\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=27226"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.durangoherald.com\/tj\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=27226"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.durangoherald.com\/tj\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=27226"},{"taxonomy":"naviga_topic","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.durangoherald.com\/tj\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/naviga_topic?post=27226"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
