They reported \u201cthe vehicle drove into oncoming traffic and into the shoulder\u201d before making its way into town, according to the statement of probable cause.<\/p>\n<p>One witness followed the vehicle and flagged down police when it stopped near the intersection of Mesa Verde and Animas Street, where police reportedly saw Ramone \u201chastily get into the driver seat and put his seat belt on,\u201d according to the statement of probable cause.<\/p>\n<p>Police pulled a cruiser in front the SUV blocking Ramone, and officers ordered him out of the vehicle. The officers reportedly smelling \u201ca strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from his exhaled breath,\u201d court records state.<\/p>\n<p>Ramone\u2019s eyes reportedly appeared \u201cto be bloodshot and watery,\u201d and his \u201cspeech was also slurred,\u201d according to the statement of probable cause.<\/p>\n<p>Ramone allegedly refused to submit to a Breathalyzer test, so Farmington Police had to secure a warrant to get a blood test.<\/p>\n<p>Upon further investigation, police reportedly found an open 24-ounce container of Modelo Chelada in the front cup holder, as well as a 100-milliliter container of Yukon Jack next to it.
