After spending 10 days on the 416 Fire, I am writing to thank the citizens of Durango for their outpouring of gratitude shown to all the firefighters.
I would especially like to thank the family on 25th Street with three little boys. They brought tears to my eyes every night that they were out and I was able to stop and shake their hands and thank them.
That was something I will never forget. Thank you.
