A free workshop on plant photography will take place at 10 a.m. June 1 at Durango Nursery and Supply, 271 Kay Cee Lane.

BLM Tres Rios office evaluating lease sale
The Bureau of Land Management has announced a two-week scoping period on a proposal to offer five parcels totaling 5,443 acres in San Miguel, Dolores and Montrose counties in its Feb. 13, 2014, gas and oil lease sale.
Public comments about the environmental assessment must be received by May 31.

Nature Studies to offer hike under full moon
Durango Nature Studies will host a Full Moon Hike Under the Flower Moon from 8 to 9:30 p.m. Saturday at Animas City Mountain.
The hike is free for members, and $10 for nonmembers
