The editorial “Obamacare well-meaning, but...” (Herald, Sept. 19), did a pretty good job of describing the many benefits of ColoradoCare, but mentioned a concern that as an amendment, it would not allow experimentation with tax rates or leadership composition.
I think we can all agree we don’t want “experimentation with the taxes.”
If there is a $2 billion surplus, as predicted, this could be refunded to Colorado residents.
Western Slope leadership composition could be weakened if this is not also protected by amendment.
If Amendment 69 (ColoradoCare) passes, despite huge insurance company spending, these health care benefits covering every Colorado resident need to be protected from our dysfunctional legislature by an amendment firewall.
