As a Colorado native and 25-plus year resident of La Plata County, I feel incredibly proud and lucky to have such bright, strong, well-informed, and dedicated local women running for elected offices and representing me in those offices!
Julie Holligan Westendorff, in particular, has shown invaluable leadership and consensus building skills in her term as a La Plata County commissioner. Her diverse background as a Bayfield magistrate, attorney, Southern Ute tribal prosecutor, and real estate professional makes her uniquely qualified to tackle the complex issues of our diverse county.
She has worked tirelessly to stay well informed on these many issues and to listen to all of her constituents, holding regular office hours in Bayfield.
