Harrison Costello named to school’s dean’s list
South Dakota School of Mines & Technology student Harrison Costello of Ignacio,who is majoring in geological engineering, was named to the dean’s list for the 2014 fall semester.
In order to merit a spot on the list, students must earn a grade point average of 3.5 or higher for the semester. Full-time students must have earned a minimum of 12 credit hours that term, while part-time students must have earned between 3 and 11 credit hours that term. The South Dakota School of Mines & Technology is a science and engineering research university located in Rapid City, S.D.

Emma Zink named to school’s honor roll
The University of Kansas named Emma Zink of Durango to its honor roll for the fall 2013 semester.
She is the daughter of Shana Zink of Durango. Emma Zink was named to the honor roll for the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. The University of Kansas is located in Lawrence, Kan.
Honor roll criteria vary among the university’s academic units. Some schools honor the top 10 percent of students enrolled, some establish a minimum grade-point average and others raise the minimum GPA for each year students are in school. Students must complete a minimum number of credit hours to be considered for the honor roll.
Connor Dugan named to dean’s list
Connor Dugan of Durango has been named to the dean’s list at California Lutheran University for the fall semester.
Dugan is an exercise science major. Students qualify for the list by maintaining a 3.6 grade point average in their academic subjects.
They will be recognized for their achievement at the Honors Convocation on April 29. The university is based in Thousand Oaks, Calif.
