Coram values guns over human safety

State Sen. Don Coram (R-Montrose) has been involved in bills to reduce suicides in Colorado.

While this is admirable, one has to question Coram’s true commitment to reducing suicides, since he will not touch the issue of guns. Statistics indicate states with the most guns have the highest number of gun deaths, particularly from suicide.

It is also important to note that in 2016 Coram was asked in Montrose if he supported a ban on bump stocks, which were used in the awful Las Vegas massacre. Coram said he didn’t support a ban, even though 60 were killed and more than 500 injured. This seems to be a man to whom guns are more important than keeping us safe.
