The Old Fort staff members, students and Farmer Training participants invite community members to the annual open house from noon to 6 p.m. Thursday.
Celebrate farmers-in-training (Ana Henry, Kyle Sanders, Lorin Whitaker, Leah Coe and Sienna Schulte) and interns (Daelyn Benally, Casey Hunter, Callie Truett, Halley Noon, Aurora Campbell, Pilar Owens and Jamie Leonard) as they complete their seasons in the fields.
In addition to learning more about the Farmer Training program, attendees may view the fields, apple orchard and historic campus. There will be a tasting of Fenceline Cider’s cider made with Old Fort crabapples, and ice cream from Cream Bean Berry and Greek food from Yia Yia's food truck available for purchase.
This is a family friendly event. Wagon rides and activities for kids will be available. FLC is sponsoring event.
