Chadron beats FLC 72-49
The Fort Lewis women’s basketball team came up short against Chadron State College on Friday in both teams’ RMAC opener.
The Skyhawks scored the first six points of the game, but Chadron scored the next eight. FLC trailed Chadron 16-15 after the first quarter. The Eagles, however, won the next three quarters by five points, eight points and eight points to win the game, 72-49.
Ten different players scored for the Skyhawks. Sydney Candelaria scored 21 points to lead the team’s offense and grabbed eight rebounds.
The FLC men also took on Chadron Friday, but results weren’t available at press time.
