Toh-Atin owners support Native Americans

I am urging respectful discourse around the issue of The Chief and the owners of Toh-Atin Gallery.

The Clark family has a multi-generational tradition of supporting Native Americans and their art. I venture to say that they have done as much or more for their Native brothers than anyone in the Four Corners area! Most people don’t know that behind the scenes they chop and deliver firewood, organize clothing drives and pay artists outright for their work.

As an artisan myself, I know that artists can often wait years for a piece to sell and get paid. So please treat this family with the respect that they deserve – we are fortunate to have them and their gallery representing Durango.
