Amazon, Amazon

(To the tune of “Matchmaker, Matchmaker” from Fiddler on the Roof)

Amazon, Amazon ship me some stuff

No matter how much, I can’t get enough

Tools, electronics, or links for my cuff

Oh, Amazon ship me stuff

When I am ordering, life is sublime

I think I’m addicted to Amazon Prime

I wait for the date when the doorbell will chime

And boxes arrive on time

Bridge:

When that fellow Jeff Bezos

Gave online orders a start

He was trying to please us

No waiting in stores to empty our cart

Whoever thought I’d be feeling such glee

No COVID-induced existential ennui

I just make a list for my next shopping spree

Then nothing can bother me

I had a dream my life’s journey was through

I picked out a casket, based on a review

Then “Proceed to Checkout” meant something quite new

And Heaven had Amazon too!

So Amazon, Amazon ship me more stuff

No matter how much, it won’t be enough

I turn on my laptop and sit on my duff

While Amazon ships

Do I need chocolate chips?

I love shopping Amazon with my pajamas on

Amazon ship me stuff.
