FEMA Phase 39 has awarded $26,986 and ARPA-R $83,407 to the La Plata County jurisdiction to supplement existing emergency food and shelter programs.
Under the grant terms, local agencies chosen to receive money must be private voluntary nonprofits with a voluntary board or units of government, have an accounting system, practice nondiscrimination and have demonstrated the capability to deliver emergency food and or shelter programs.
Closing date for applications at 4 p.m. June 9.
Funding will be allocated at 9 a.m., June 13 via Zoom. All applicants must be represented at this meeting to receive funding.
