Colorado Parks and Wildlife will celebrate its 125th anniversary along with the reopening of the Durango Wildlife Museum from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday with live music from the Smelter Mountain Boys.

The local bluegrass band will be on hand to provide music while visitors partake in a variety of activities, including a youth fishing derby and multiple wildlife education stations. The family-friendly event will have free cupcakes and a cotton candy machine along with food hot off the grill available for purchase, with all proceeds going to support the Durango Wildlife Museum.

The event will be held at 151 E. 16th St., the site of the Durango Fish Hatchery, CPW area office and wildlife museum.
