The Boulevard Neighborhood Association will hold its annual meeting from 1-3 p.m. Sunday (Oct. 16) at Mason Park on East Third Avenue between 12th and 13th streets. All East Third Avenue property owners and residents are invited to attend and to join or renew membership in the organization. Friends of The Boulevard, a category of non-voting members who reside in other Durango neighborhoods, are also invited.
Agenda items for the meeting include a review of proposed changes within the district and the adjacent downtown commercial area. Attendees will hear details of a proposed Christmas Eve luminaria display, a report on median trees and the launch of a new website for the 35-year-old organization. Nominations for two open board positions in this all-volunteer organization will be accepted from the floor, and dues-paying members may vote. A consultant or additional board member for information systems and technology is sought.
