Vote for Aichele, McLachlan

I voted for experience and credentials for La Plata County Treasurer Allison Aichele and state Rep. Barbara McLachlan.

Aichele transformed the treasurer's office from typewriters to online credit card payments with her expertise in technology. The treasurer's office is open five days a week with excellent customer service.

Aichele has a dedicated staff that oversees payments to 70 districts from the City of Durango to metro and fire districts. Yes, credentials do matter when it comes to money received and money going out from the treasurer's office. Her eight years in office has brought stability to the workplace. Aichele handles her complex duties with grace and always compliments her small staff for jobs well done. Vote for Aichele. It makes common sense.

McLachlan understands the needs of the Southwest, from rural water to education. She has a proven track record in successful legislation with bipartisan support to the benefit of all in Colorado. Her dedication to her immense territory is amazing. She is everywhere in her district.

McLachlan reminds me of our late Sen. Jim Isgar. Both of them were on the road listening and working for the people of Southwest Colorado. Vote for her experience in the legislature. Vote for her knowledge on the Taxpayer’s Bill of Rights and the complexity of legislation on finance in Denver. Vote for McLachlan who has 50 years in Colorado and is a dedicated public servant, from educator to legislator.

Her newly arrived opponent has no history except from another state.
