Local winter sports are almost done after the Durango girls basketball team and the Fort Lewis College men’s basketball team lost in the postseason. However, the FLC indoor track team is the last winter sport competing as Hannah Hartwell will represent the Skyhawks at the NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field Indoor Championships.
Durango baseball is the final local spring sport to get going as the Demons begin their season on the road. Plenty of other local spring sports teams are in action. Here’s the local sports schedule for the upcoming week:
FLC sports:
Wednesday: Skyhawks women’s lacrosse at William Jewel College at 3 p.m. FLC is 0-4 overall and William Jewel is 4-3 overall.
Thursday: NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field Indoor Championships in Indianapolis

Friday: NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field Indoor Championships in Indianapolis

Softball vs. CSU Pueblo at home at noon, 2 p.m. The Skyhawks are 2-18 overall and 1-14 in Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference play. CSU Pueblo is 11-12 overall and 10-6 in the RMAC.
