Parroting the legacy media’s latest show of bad behavior and the Democratic Party’s attempts at deflection, The Durango Herald would implore us to believe that President Donald Trump is seriously implicated in the Epstein scandal – Epstein-gate – (“Holding Power to Account,” Herald, Jul. 25).
However, facts matter. Biden's Justice Department controlled the Epstein files for years and showed no interest in releasing a single morsel of information. Add to that, Biden and the Justice Department attempted for years to jail President Donald Trump through numerous obtuse lawsuits orchestrated from The White House. So please explain, had Biden had material on Trump that was Epstein related, why wasn’t it used to jail his chief political rival?
What the local newspaper and media allies will never cover are the emerging details of the Russiagate scandal. Absent the 2024 Supreme Court’s decision clarifying presidential immunity, former President Barack Obama would likely be criminally charged for the premeditated violation of numerous federal statutes related to his actions to undermine the Trump presidency.
Instead of facing justice for attempting to undercut the will of the American people, Obama will emerge unscathed, but a thoroughly discredited person for so abusing the office of the president. Obama's criminal associates – Biden, Brenner, Comey, Rice, et.al. – however, will probably face conspiracy and related charges and possibly jail time. No story here? Not worth covering the largest political scandal in our lifetimes?
Also, why is there no coverage of the numerous civil rights complaints lodged against Durango School District 9R in the past four months? What bad deeds are alleged?
