Thad Barnes drops off his ballot Monday in front of the La Plata County Clerk and Recorder’s Office. As of Monday afternoon, only 24 percent of eligible electors – or 10,049 voters – in the county had returned ballots. Voters have until 7 p.m. Tuesday to drop off ballots at one of five locations: the Clerk and Recorder’s Office, La Plata County Fairgrounds, La Plata County Administration Building, Bayfield Town Hall and Ignacio Town Hall.
