A few nights ago, I was on my way to enjoy the Follies and, upon exiting my parked vehicle, I realized I was stepping onto a virtual ice rink. I am almost 89 years old and ice could be my nemesis. As I was groping my car and fearing the ice traverse before me, I suddenly saw a hand extended to me ... a young hand.
“Grab my hand!” I looked up to see three kids offering assistance. Not only did they keep me upright by my car, they walked me safely to the Strater. It’s wonderful to know Durango’s young generation is so kind and thoughtful. High-five to those guys!
