The Farm Flex market will offer consumers more flexibility in terms of payment options and item choice. SWFF will continue to serve wholesale customer accounts, although business may be less than former years because of closures from the COVID-19 epidemic.
SWFF believes that now, more than ever, is the time for farms to work together to help spread out the work of marketing and distribution. SWFF can benefit many more farms. Membership includes group ordering of supplies, product liability insurance for items sold via their market channels, centralized billing and payment and coordinated production planning. Member-owners also participate democratically in the business.
Membership structure allows for a first year “prospective” membership, which costs $150. If at the end of the first year, members wish to continue as a member, they may join for a one-time payment of $200. The $150 annual fee continues to apply to all farms selling through the co-op.
