Iron Horse training program starts Dec. 5

The Iron Horse Bicycle Training Program will start Dec. 5 at the Durango Community Recreation Center, 2700 Main Ave. To register, go to www.durangogov.org/register4rec or stop in at the front desk at the rec center.

The program includes four months of periodized indoor cycling classes, strength training, road riding skills, workshops and an outdoor ride schedule for April and May. Participants will receive weekly e-mails from their coaches on a variety of topics ranging from cycling tips to nutrition and injury prevention.

The program costs $250 and runs from Dec. 5 to May 25, 2017. Rec center pass holders receive a 10 percent discount.
