There have been numerous times that President Donald Trump has done or said something despicable that has resulted in my thinking that he had reached a new low.
Possibly because my daughter is involved in health care and encounters a risk to her health each day she goes to work, I think Trump reached yet another new low when he inexcusably called on people to liberate certain states.
As a result, protesters showed up, frequently with guns, to promote behaviors that would increase the risk to all of us and especially to workers like my daughter.
In many cases, these were states that had not reached the 14-day guideline of a reduction in new cases that should occur before social distancing policies are changed. Trump was encouraging people to protest a policy that his administration had enacted.
