Stillwater Music hires staff

Mark Rosenberg and Sheryl Jones recently joined Stillwater Music.

Rosenberg has worked in Southwest Colorado as a teacher and professional musician for 17 years, performing with the San Juan Symphony, Music in the Mountains Festival Symphony, Kisma Brass Band, Durango Arts Center, Merely Players and the Pete Giuliani Band.

He has also worked as a music educator in District 9-R for 15 years, served on the Music in the Mountains Conservatory Faculty for seven years, taught music in Telluride, served as production manager of the Telluride Jazz Festival and performed with the Telluride Choral Society, the Telluride Repertory Theatre Co.

Jones is from Austin, Texas, and holds a master’s in music education from Texas State University and has taught at college, high school and middle school levels.

She also has singing and recording experience in a variety of bands and musical genres including classical, jazz fusion, funk, rock, blues, pop, country and swing. She directs the DurangaTones, has performed with Durango Choral Society and currently sings in the Will Cooter Gang.
