Side street parking difficulties downtown are not a new phenomenon. Here, parties survey the situation, whether a minor fender bender or a creative attempt to safely park on a hill, on East Seventh Street in about 1928. The vehicle to the right is a Cannon Ball Transport Co. bus parked in front of its station. The driver of the bus is the man in a hat with his hand on his chin in mid-picture. The other people are members of the Stone family. –Ed Horvat for Animas Museum, edhorvat@animasmuseum.org (Catalog Number: 93.11.7 from the La Plata County Historical Society Photo Collections)
