The American Association of University Women’s Book And Author Luncheon will feature Trail Canyon: 6 Miles Long, 10,000 Years Deep by Howard “Bud” Poe and Ann Butler at 11:30 a.m. Saturday in the Vallecito Room of the Student Union at Fort Lewis College. The 2012 book takes readers on an exploration of the isolated canyon west of Cortez containing the legacies of 10 centuries of human history. The event raises scholarship funds for nontraditional students at FLC and has endowed two scholarships, in the names of long-term members Virginia Shoser and Janet Watson, and are currently working on endowing one in the name of Cheryl Jackson. Tickets are $35 and must be purchased by today by emailing holgnd@frontier.net or calling 259-3040.
